Our Process
Gather & Conceptualise
This step is an essential part of creating a solid foundation for a project. Here we collaborate closely to gather all of the knowns and unknowns, and work together to develop a detailed view of the project. We then get to work on deciphering the requirements. When done well, the Gather phase lays down all of the groundwork, allowing us to move forward into a meaningful Conceptual phase.
The Conceptual phase is about collaboration and ideas. Together, we’ll elucidate our findings and form them into words, sketches, and eventually develop visual concepts. When we conceptualise, we should be ready to move swiftly, think expansively and then refine. Here we focus on your end-game product; the one you know the business needs to deliver on its vision.
Refine
Once the Conceptual phase establishes a direction, we can then move forward into the visualisation, styling, and polishing of those details into a unique solution. It is essential to follow a multi-disciplinary approach, allowing a variety of perspectives to pull and poke holes in our designs. There will be a lot of critique and collaboration here as we transition into intricate design to ensure all parties are aligned and confident with the solutions.
Deliver & Perfect
At the end of the project, the final files are submitted, with components organised into a visual library. In this step, the final polish takes place; we go through the designs with a critical designer's eye to ensure all criteria are met. By the end of this phase, the files are ready for delivery, and all deliverables are prepared to pick up and develop efficiently.
Ideally, after the delivery phase we continue to collaborate and expand on the project. Here Engineering or Manufacturing is refined, rare but significant edge-cases are solved, and user interactions are reviewed and finalised. We also have the opportunity to assess user behaviour and conduct thorough quality assurance (QA) before the project is released.
